আজ জামায়াত-এ-ইসলামি নারীর শাখার সেক্রেটারি নারুন্নিসা সিদ্দিকাহা নারী অধিকারকে শীর্ষ নেতৃত্বের চেয়ে বেশি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বলে জোর দিয়ে বক্তব্য রাখেন। তিনি নারী সক্রিয়দের ওপর সাম্প্রতিক হামলার প্রতিবেদনসহ একটি স্মারক নির্বাচন কমিশনারের কাছে জমা দিয়েছেন। এই পদক্ষেপের পেছনে তিনি পার্টির ইসলামী নীতি ও নারীর সুরক্ষার দাবি তুলে ধরেছেন।
নারুন্নিসা সিদ্দিকাহা উল্লেখ করেন, “Jamaat-e-Islami is an Islamic organisation, and it naturally follows Islamic principles. The Holy Quran said that ‘men are the managers of women.’ This is a Quranic directive and obligatory. So, in an Islamic organisation, women cannot hold top leadership positions. We accept this with faith and act accordingly,” বলে তিনি পার্টির কাঠামোতে ধর্মীয় নির্দেশের গুরুত্ব পুনর্ব্যক্ত করেন।
তিনি আরও বলেন, “The focus is not on women occupying top positions, but on whether women’s rights are being realised.” এরপর তিনি বাংলাদেশের ৫৪ বছরের রাজনৈতিক ইতিহাসে দুইজন নারী প্রধানমন্ত্রীকে উদাহরণ হিসেবে তুলে ধরে প্রশ্ন তোলেন, “Over the past 54 years, two women served as prime minister for long terms in Bangladesh. Has this solved women’s problems? Has violence decreased? Have their rights been secured? Simply having a woman in a top post does not automatically solve everything.” এভাবে তিনি নেতৃত্বের লিঙ্গগত দিকের চেয়ে বাস্তব অধিকার অর্জনের প্রয়োজনীয়তা জোর দেন।
জামায়াত-এ-ইসলামি নারীর শাখার রাজনৈতিক বিষয়ক দায়িত্বে থাকা হাবিবা আক্তার চৌধুরী জানান, “Forty-three percent of our organisational representatives are women, and more than 40 percent of our advisory and executive committees are women. Our organisation respects and values women.” তিনি পার্টির অভ্যন্তরে নারীর প্রতিনিধিত্বের পরিসংখ্যান তুলে ধরে সমতা বজায় রাখার প্রচেষ্টা উল্লেখ করেন।
চৌধুরী আরও যোগ করেন, “We are preparing for the future. Our advisory committee has decided that we will not nominate a female candidate this time. However, in local elections, our sisters have actively participated in rural areas.” এভাবে তিনি বর্তমান নির্বাচনী কৌশল ও ভবিষ্যৎ পরিকল্পনা ব্যাখ্যা করেন, যেখানে কেন্দ্রীয় পর্যায়ে নারী প্রার্থী না থাকলেও গ্রামীণ স্তরে নারীর সক্রিয় অংশগ্রহণের কথা উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে।
নারী সক্রিয়দের ওপর হামলার তথ্য সংগ্রহের জন্য দলটি মোট ১৫টি স্থানের ডকুমেন্টেশন, ফটো ও ভিডিওসহ নির্বাচন কমিশনারের কাছে জমা দিয়েছে। চৌধুরী বলেন, “We submitted documentation [to EC] from a total of 15 locations, including photos and videos. There are many more incidents as well.” এভাবে তিনি ঘটনার বিস্তৃতি ও প্রমাণের পরিমাণ তুলে ধরেছেন।
নির্বাচন কমিশনারের প্রতিক্রিয়া সম্পর্কে তিনি জানিয়েছেন, “The chief election commissioner has assured us that he will take action in this connection,” এবং পার্টি এই আশ্বাসের ভিত্তিতে আইনি পদক্ষেপের প্রত্যাশা প্রকাশ করেছে।
এই বিবৃতি ও পদক্ষেপের ফলে জামায়াত-এ-ইসলামির নারী নীতি ও নির্বাচনী কৌশল নিয়ে রাজনৈতিক বিশ্লেষকরা ভবিষ্যতে পার্টির ভোটাভুটি ও নারীর রাজনৈতিক অংশগ্রহণে কী প্রভাব ফেলবে তা পর্যবেক্ষণ করবেন। পার্টির ধর্মীয় নীতি ও নারী অধিকার সংক্রান্ত অবস্থান দেশের সামগ্রিক লিঙ্গ নীতি আলোচনায় নতুন দৃষ্টিকোণ যোগ করবে।
